We purchased
a half share of Talent at the Uplands sale
in 1986 for 8000gns. He provided one of the
highlights of our show career winning Breed
Champion at the Royal Show in 1988 and being
a member of the Reserve Team for the Burke
Trophy.
His sire Laird, bred by M. Dubreuil brought
new blood into the breed at that time. His
dam Princesse was a great brood cow by Le
Premier.
Talent has bred exceptionally well producing
some high priced animals in addition to numerous
Champions:
- Uplands
Carmine (daughter)
sold for 12,000gns at the Uplands
Dispersal.
- Uplands Batman (son)
was Male Champion Great Yorkshire Show
in 1989.
- Ronick Cosmos (son)
bred exceptionally well for the Ringway
herd of Peter Henshall.
- Ronick Gains (son)
was overall Male and Supreme Champion and
was sold for 10,500gns in May 1992.
- Ronick Goldilocks (daughter)
was Reserve Female Champion Royal Show
1994 and Female Champion at the Royal Highland
Show 1994.
- Ronick Esther (daughter)
- mother of the famous Ronick Hawk.
- Cockleshell Elizabeth (daughter)
- Female Champion Royal Show 1995.
Talent produced exceptionally powerful
females in the Ronick Herd who have all
proved to be excellent breeders of top
quality stock.
