Druk Oiseau was the
top priced in-calf heifer purchased at
the Druk Dispersal in 1980 for 4200gns
by Illustre.
Oiseau has bred exceptionally well with
some notable progeny being Ronick Aaron
by Oakley
Tavy. He was successfully shown
as a young bull winning 2nd prize to Fleethill
Ace in the young bull class at the Royal
Show of England 1986. Aaron was sold privately
to Mr Graham, Burnbank, Stirling. After
seeing his excellent commercial calves
he was rented back for two seasons to use
on our pedigree herd producing a number
of cows which have went on to breed exceptionally
well in the Ronick Herd e.g. Ronick Fainsi.
Oiseau
is also the mother of Ronick Barny who
sired Ronick Dumby who was second in his
class at the Royal Highland Show and Royal
Show of England in 1989 prior to being
sold in October 1989 for 5400gns to the
Homebyres herd owned by Mr John Logan.
Her
descendants are all breeding well in the
herd with a number being included in our
show
team e.g. Ronick Money, Ronick Ohelma
(an Aaron daughter) and Ronick Usk.
